Camping with a trailer in tow

Holly Ridge Campground

I took a spur of the moment trip and was glad I did. This is a small family campground not far off the interstate. Very quiet and peaceful. It was very clean even for being so late in the season.  If you like to get out, the town is a throwback to yesteryear and lots of other attractions are within a couple hours drive.

The sites were large enough and covered with pea-gravel which was nice. The only drawbacks were lack of cell phone service, (Is that really a drawback??) and no signage getting to the campground. (Thank god for GPS's!) Roads from the highway into the park are asphalt with all the sites and a couple of roads being gravel. Sites are fairly close to level due to hills. Water and power were good. You will find both open sites and sites under the large trees in the park. (Most sites are under trees) My site also had a deck that I parked the trailer next to - a really nice touch. If I was ever in the area again, I'd definitely go back.
